Deep pools punctuate the canyon floor in the Subway of Utah's Zion National Park. For most of the year, the Left Fork of North Creek trickles benignly through this backcountry canyon, but during the short rainy season, flash floods, carrying large amounts of mud and rock, erode the rock surface and cut deep chasms.
