Leopard, Chobe National Park, Botswana

The leopard was quite chill. I photographed it from a Land Rover. The cat was quite accustomed to people as it had been photographed since it was a kitten. There was no waiting around for this cat to appear; it was very nonchalant and feeling safe on its perch above the ground. Even as powerful as leopards are, they can be surprised by lions and hyenas or even bands of baboons which pose a significant threat to them.
